What is the Desktop Shortcut and how does it work?

The Desktop Shortcut is simply a customized icon that allows your customers quick access to your site. Your client can visit your site easily by double clicking on your icon on their desktop computer.

How does the customer get the icon on their computer?

We first create the icon (most companies use their logo) and then install the program that transfers the icon on your web site. When your customer logs onto your site, they click on the icon, follow the instructions, and the next time they log on, they can do it with the click of one button.

What is the benefit to my title company?

Your clients won't have to remember your website address anymore because your icon will now be on their desktop computer which gives them quick, easy access to all your order forms. Think how easy it will be for your customer to order your services from you with the ICON.

What is the cost?

There is no additional cost for this feature, when you purchase one or more of our software products. As a stand alone product this feature would cost $199.00.

STEP 2: You will be presented with the following screen. Choose "Run this program from it's current location" and click on the "OK" button.

STEP 3: Depending on your browser security settings you may or may not be presented with the following screen. If you are, just click on the "Yes" button.

STEP 4: When presented with the next screen, simply click on the "Unzip" button. Four files will automatically be put into your "My Documents" folder under a folder called "TitleConn_Icon". (These files will be placed in your "Documents and Settings" folder in a folder called "TitleConn_Icon" if you are using Windows 2000).

STEP 5: Open your "My Documents" folder on your desktop and "double click" on your newly created "TitleConn_Icon" folder. When it opens, simply "double click" on the "Install" file and your icon will appear on your desktop. Instructions are the same for Windows 2000 but your files will be placed in your "Documents and Settings" folder.

After installation is complete, you may safely delete the "TitleConn_Icon" folder and all of it's contents.
